INSPECTION

1. INSPECT FRONT POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Check operation of the seat frame (slide motor).

(1) Check if the seat frame moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the slide motor connector terminals.

OK:

Measurement Condition

Operational Direction

Battery positive (+) → 1

Battery negative (-) → 2

Front

Battery positive (+) → 2

Battery negative (-) → 1

Rear

If the result is not as specified, replace the seat frame with adjuster assembly.

(b) Check operation of the seat frame (front vertical motor).

(1) Check if the seat frame moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the front vertical motor connector terminals.

OK:

Measurement Condition

Operational Direction

Battery positive (+) → 1

Battery negative (-) → 2

Up

Battery positive (+) → 2

Battery negative (-) → 1

Down

If the result is not as specified, replace the seat frame with adjuster assembly.

(c) Check operation of the seat frame (lifter motor).

(1) Check if the seat frame moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the lifter motor connector terminals.

OK:

Measurement Condition

Operational Direction

Battery positive (+) → 2

Battery negative (-) → 1

Up

Battery positive (+) → 1

Battery negative (-) → 2

Down

If the result is not as specified, replace the seat frame with adjuster assembly.

(d) Check operation of the seat frame (reclining motor).

(1) Check if the seat frame moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the reclining motor connector terminals.

OK:

Measurement Condition

Battery positive (+) → 2

Battery negative (-) → 1

Front

Battery positive (+) → 1

Battery negative (-) → 2

Rear

If the result is not as specified, replace the seat frame with adjuster assembly.

(e) Check operation of the seat frame (leg support adjustment motor).

(1) Check if the seat frame moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the leg support adjustment motor connector terminals.

OK:

Measurement Condition

Battery positive (+) → 1

Battery negative (-) → 2

Open

Battery positive (+) → 2

Battery negative (-) → 1

Close

If the result is not as specified, replace the seat frame with adjuster assembly.

2. INSPECT FRONT POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Check operation of the seat frame (slide motor).

(1) Check if the seat frame moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the slide motor connector terminals.

OK:

Battery negative (-) → 1

Front

Battery positive (+) → 1

Battery negative (-) → 2

Rear

If the result is not as specified, replace the seat frame with adjuster assembly.

(b) Check operation of the seat frame (reclining motor).

(1) Check if the seat frame moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the reclining motor connector terminals.
